The Bushmen got their start in their hometown of Douglas, Georgia in early 1962 as The Revelons. Their love for both white and black Southern roots music, as well as most good Top 40 radio tunes, helped to enable them to perform pretty much anything that hit the airwaves.

Vic Chesnutt was a singer, songwriter and musician raised in Zebulon, GA and later lived in Athens, GA. His version of Americana music was unique, mystical and pure. He released a total of 17 albums over his career, two produced by Michael Stipe (R.E.M.). Chestnutt has recorded with Widespread Panic and performed live with them. He co-wrote a few of their songs .

Cowboy was a southern rock band that was formed in Jacksonville, FL, however moved to Cochran, GA then to Macon, Ga during their time recording with Capricorn Records in Macon, GA. Past members were Scott Boyer, Tommy Talton Chuck Leavell, Bill Pillmore, George Clark, Peter Kowalke, Randall Bramblett, Tomm Wynn, Bill Stewart, David Brown and Arch Pearson. Several band members became the Capricorn Rhythm Section for Capricorn Records and ultimately recorded four albums on the label in the 1970's. Founding member of Cowboy, Scott Boyer, wrote the song "Please Be With Me" on their album in 1971, 5'll Getcha Ten, with Duane Allman which featured Duane Allman on dobro. In 1974, Eric Clapton covered the song on his album 461 Ocean Boulevard, which included "I Shot The Sherriff".

Dennis Yost & The Classics IV was a pop group that was signed and recorded with Bill Lowery in Atlanta, GA. The group landed a deal with Imperial Records. Guitarists J. R. Cobb and Buddy Buie added lyrics to a jazz instrumental titled "Spooky," a 1966 regional hit for Atlanta saxophonist Mike Sharpe. The single made it to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 1968.

Doc Holliday was a rock band from Warner Robins, GA that recorded at Capricorn Records in Macon, GA and toured extensively in the 1970's. The original members were Bruce Brookshire - Lead guitar, lead vocals, Eddie Stone - Keyboards, vocals, John Samuelson - Bass guitar, vocals,  Ric Skelton - Lead guitar, vocals & Herman Nixon - Drums. In 1980 the band released their self-titled album which peaked at #30 on the Billboard 200. They shared tours with Black Sabbath, Gregg Allman, April Wine, Loverboy, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Charlie Daniels Band, Blackfoot, Pat Travers, Point Blank, Molly Hatchet and many others.

Drivin N Cryin

The band was formed in 1985 in Atlanta when Kevin Kinney hooked up with Frank French at the latter's recording studio, Dragon Path Music, and began working on original songs at night and working at times at French's shop "Far East Futon Company" in Atlanta. Kinney also hooked up with Tim Nielsen, who was in a popular band called the Nightporters with drummer Paul Lenz. Kinney had just moved to Georgia from Milwaukee and was working in a sewage-treatment plant by day, while playing folk gigs by night. The band's name, Drivin' N Cryin', was chosen from one of Kevn's many songs that reflected the two directions of the band's music.

Les Dudek (born August 2, 1952, at Naval Air Station, Quonset Point, Rhode Island, United States) is a guitarist, singer and songwriter. He performed on recording with The Allman Brothers Band at Capricorn Records in Macon, GA. In addition to his solo material, Dudek has played guitar with Steve Miller Band, The Dudek-Finnigan-Krueger Band, Stevie Nicks, Cher, Boz Scaggs, The Allman Brothers Band, as well as Maria Muldaur, Bobby Whitlock, Mike Finnigan, Jim Krueger and Dave Mason.[

Jimmy Orion Ellis

Ellis was born in either Pascagoula, Mississippi, Orrville, Alabama, or Washington, D.C. United States, into a single parent home. His birth certificate states the mother was a secretary named Gladys Bell and the father was Vernon (no surname). Aged two, he moved with his mother to Birmingham, Alabama, where he was put up for adoption and, aged four, was adopted by R. F. and Mary Faye (nee Hodges) Ellis. He attended Orrville High School, where he excelled in baseball, football and basketball. After winning a state fair competition, his first professional performance was in a nightclub named Demon's Den in Albany, Georgia. Ellis entered Middle Georgia College on an athletic scholarship, then transferred to Livingston State University.
