Beau Allen

Beau Allen aka Bo & The Weevils was a singer songwriter and musician from Vidalia, GA. Allen co-wrote with Dave Cook the single "My Time". He recorded and released it in 1968 on his label, started by his father Hank Allen, HFA International, a division of Allen Records. In that same year, it was released by Scepter Records and rated 5 stars by Record World Magazine however it received no commercial success and did not chart. Allen recorded several singles as Bo & The Weevils at Gala Records studio released on the label Allen Records. "A Poor Man's Day" was written by Mike Mills, Ruby Jean and Hank Allen and the flip side "Greyhound" credits Ed Perry (Gala Records) as composer. Beau Allen died June 19, 1994 at the age of 42.

The Allman Brothers Band

The Allman Brothers Band were a rock band formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1969 by brothers Duane Allman (founder, slide guitar and lead guitar) and Gregg Allman (vocals, keyboards, songwriting), as well as Dickey Betts (lead guitar, vocals, songwriting), Berry Oakley (bass guitar), Butch Trucks (drums), and Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson (drums). Subsequently, based in Macon, Georgia, the band incorporated elements of blues, jazz, and country music, and their live shows featured jam band-style improvisation and instrumentals. The B-52s (styled as The B-52's until 2008) is an American new wave band formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1976. The original lineup consisted of Fred Schneider (vocals, percussion), Kate Pierson (vocals, keyboards, synth bass), Cindy Wilson (vocals, percussion), Ricky Wilson (guitar), and Keith Strickland (drums, guitar, keyboards). Ricky Wilson died of AIDS-related illness in 1985, and Strickland switched from drums to lead guitar. The band also added various members for albums and live performances.

Buckner & Garcia

Buckner & Garcia was an American musical duo consisting of Jerry Buckner and Gary Garcia from Akron, Ohio. Their first recording was made in 1972, when they performed a novelty song called "Gotta Hear the Beat", which they recorded as Animal Jack. Later, in 1980, they wrote a novelty Christmas song titled "Merry Christmas in the NFL", imagining sports journalist Howard Cosell as Santa Claus. The recording was credited to Willis the Guard (a character performed by Atlanta radio personality Bob Carr) and fictional group Vigorish.
