Kin Vassy was a singer songwriter from Carrolton, GA. In addition to being a solo artist, Vassy recorded with other music artists - Kenny Rogers, Frank Zappa and Elvis Presley to name a few. In 1969 he joined the group Kenny Rogers and The First Edition. In 1970 his song "Heed The Call" became a Top 40 hit on the Billboard charts.

Freddie Weller

Freddie Weller is a singer songwriter. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia.] Weller played in a high school group, The Believers, which also contained Joe South. One of his first recording sessions was playing guitar on Billy Joe Royal's 1965 track, "Down in the Boondocks", which was written by South.


His recording career continued in 1967, as lead guitarist in the band Paul Revere & The Raiders. He penned their 1969 hit "We Gotta All Get Together".

Bradley "Slim" Williamson was a country music record producer and music executive from Arcade, GA

Bradley "Slim" Williamson

Bradley "Slim" Williamson was a country music record producer and music executive from Arcade, GA, near Athens, GA. He owned Chart Records, purchasing it in 1964, which signed numerous young recording artists establishing a foundation for numerous budding careers that would blossom later. Jim Nesbitt's hit that climbed the Billboard Hot Country charts was "Lookin' For More In 64". The song launched Chart Records staying on the charts for 27 weeks and peaking in the top 5. Other artists Williamson produced or recorded was Lynn Anderson, Jim Ed Brown, Rick Nelson, Billy "Crash" Craddock, Junior Samples, Tom Tall, Roy Drusky, Ronnie McDowell and many others. 


Williamson was a disc jockey for about 8 years. His son, Cliff Williamson, would help out and they became known as "Big Slim" and "Little Slim". As a record producer and music executive at Starstruck Entertainment, Cliff worked closely with Reba McEntire.  Bradley was the owner of  the several radio stations including WRWH in Cleveland, GA, WLOV in Washington, GA. He built and operated WPEH in Louisville, GA before selling it to Ott Stevens, who ran the station for him.

Mark Wills

Mark Wills is a country music singer songwriter from Blue Ridge, GA . In his teenaged years, Wills played in garage bands, taking inspiration from rock groups such as Bon Jovi. During his young adulthood, however, he began to take an interest in country music. He entered a local talent contest in Marietta, Georgia, at age 17, and after winning the contest, he began to perform locally. From there, he went to work as a demo singer in Atlanta, Georgia, before doing the same in Nashville, Tennessee. While in Nashville, he was discovered by record producers Carson Chamberlain and Keith Stegall, who helped him sign to a recording contract with Mercury Records Nashville.

Steve Young, from Newnan, GA, is a country music singer songwriter and composer. He is mostly known for the song "Seven Bridges Road" covered by The Eagles. Young was a pioneer of country rock and Americana music. He wrote numerous songs covered by artists such as Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams, Jr. and others. In 1984, he charted the single "It's Not Suppose To Be That Way", peaking at 84 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Travis Tritt

Travis Tritt is a singer songwriter from Marietta, GA. He has received two Grammy Awards, both for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals: in 1992 for "The Whiskey Ain't Workin'", a duet with Marty Stuart, and again in 1998 for "Same Old Train", a collaboration with Stuart and nine other artists. He has received four awards from the Country Music Association and has been a member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1992
